Born in 2015, Oakland's "El Duo" blends lo-fi electronics and afro dance grooves with a natural sense of wonder. Drawing from their deep love of improvisation, Randy Schwartz (Brett Dennen, Illumination) & Harrison Murphy (Sun Hop Fat, Harry & the Hitmen) curate unique and inspired soundscapes for audiences. El Duo weaves together its unabashed brand of experimental dance music with an odd array of drums, percussion, synthesizers and effects. The witty pair approaches their concerts with a raw and loose fervor, often featuring special guests, which gives each of their shows its own distinct magic and character.
